The 3 Essential Kitchen Design Questions, with a worksheet to plan your layout, your storage, and the way your family actually uses the room.
East Hill designs and remodels high-end kitchens across Westchester County, NY, from classic colonials in Scarsdale and Bronxville to waterfront homes in Rye and family houses in Larchmont and White Plains. We have designed more than six hundred kitchens since 2007, and our New York studio in Purchase has been recognized as a Best of Westchester kitchen designer.
A kitchen is the most-used room in a Westchester home and the one most worth getting right. We do more than hand you a drawing: we design the kitchen around the way your family actually cooks and gathers, source the cabinetry and stone ourselves, vet the team that builds it, and stay on through the last drawer pull. One team, start to finish.

From our Purchase showroom we design and remodel kitchens throughout Westchester, including Scarsdale, Rye, Bronxville, Bedford, Armonk, Chappaqua, Larchmont, Rye Brook, Harrison & Purchase, Irvington, Briarcliff Manor, Eastchester & Hartsdale and White Plains. If your home is in the county and your kitchen deserves a designer, we should talk.
Cost depends on the size of the kitchen, the cabinetry line, the stone and appliances you choose, and how much the layout changes. As a designer-led studio working in made-to-order cabinetry, inset and frameless, most full kitchens we design in Westchester are a considered investment rather than an off-the-shelf renovation.
The honest answer is that it varies, so we start with a consultation, look at your space and your goals, and propose a real path forward before any numbers are guessed at.
From first meeting to finished kitchen, plan for several months.
Design and selections typically take several weeks to a few months, depending on how quickly decisions get made. Cabinetry is made to order and typically ships in seven to nine weeks, sometimes longer for fully custom work. The on-site build runs several weeks to a few months, depending on scope.
There are no surprises. You'll know the lead times from our first conversation, and we'll keep you updated throughout the design process with a standing weekly cadence, so it stays on track.
Both. We'll recommend contractors we've worked with for years. We have no financial arrangement with any of them; they're on our list because they do good work. Have your own contractor? We're glad to meet a new partner.
Either way, your East Hill designer stays involved through the build, so the kitchen that gets built is the kitchen we designed.
